I was at a point in my life where I felt a little stuck. I had found the one person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with but that was about the only thing I knew I wanted for sure. Everything else was a what if and it was driving me crazy. I felt like I was so alone, everyone I graduated with was in college working toward their future career and I wasn't really doing anything with the life I was given. So I started readin self help books, trying to find my purpose. That started when my best friend gave me the best book I've ever read, and the very first "Book Blog" I did, and I the peace that came knowing that there was someone else who had felt the same way was astounding!

If we are being completely honest at first I wanted to name it "Magnolia & Home" because I just thing Magnolia is beautiful, the word, the trees, everything about it BUT it reminded me and R too much of the lovely Chip and Jo Gaines. Somewhere between that and starting a small caligraphy business I came upon the word Mulberry, which was fitting since it perfectly describes the color of my hair, so it stuck!

There are plenty of members of the LGBT community that are religious in some way. If you'll believe it, I wasn't very religious at all until I met Rach. Something about her coming into my life and the events following the day we met really opened my eyes, it just clicked. I thank R's family everyday for introducing Jesus into my life and it has helped me leap and bound through some of the MOST difficult times in my life! I live by the saying "The Lord doesn't do things because he thinks they're funny and He doesn't put us down paths he doesn't think we are ready for." This quote inparticular has help Rach and I come to terms with the fact life does NOT always go the way we plan it to!

"R" is just short for Rach, my lovely partner in crime, she is the back bones to everthing I do and I will never be able to thank her enough for putting up with all my crazy shenanigans! I can be a littl ebit of a handfull sometimes!

We met my senior year of high school and have been together since! I was 17 when we met and she was 20, turning 21. After I graduated high school R took me to Florida ona business trip she had to go on, one day after she finished up work we ended up going to the beach just to explore and she surprised the heck out of me with the most gorgeous ring! We got engaged June 20, 2016 and are still planning our big day, no dates as of yet!
